Living Generously, Sharing Faithfully

Day 1: Alter the Altar

Then Elijah said to all the people, ‘Come here to me.’ They came to him, and he repaired the altar of the Lord, which had been torn down.

1 Kings 18:30

Today we begin 31 days of prayer for restoring family worship in our conference. Thank you so much for taking this inspiring journey with us.

As Elijah repaired the altar of the Lord, preparing the way for a spiritual revival and reformation in Israel, we are responding to the call to repair the home altar of family worship in preparation for another move of God.

This year the children’s ministries and prayer ministries departments are working together to bring new energy to family worship—especially for the children. To learn about the FAMILY WORSHIP CHALLENGE, click here.

Please pray...

  1. That this project will genuinely reform and transform individuals, families, churches, and communities.
  2. That our children and grandchildren (grown or at home) will experience God in a totally new way.
  3. That this month’s focus on family worship will help grow deep believers resulting in wholehearted devotion to the Lord; that this simple act of worship will become part of the rhythm of every part of our lives

Lord, let it be known today that you are God in this conference and that we, your servants, are restoring the altar of worship in our homes to honor you and to save our children. Help us to know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning our hearts back again. Amen.
